Yesterday, after the hardcore shorebird action in the Dead Creek area, I
rode the Charlotte Ferry and back in the hopes of encountering migrants.
Sure enough, just off of the Vermont shore I heard then saw a Whimbrel
heading south over the lake. Also of interest were 1 Common Tern, 1 Caspian
Tern, and a Ruby-throated Hummingbird racing alongside the ferry about half
