Today Don Clark, Martha Adams, and I birded Herricks Cove from 11:00am-1:45pm. Highlights included:
Swainsons thrush --1
Peregrine Falcon --1
Coopers Hawk --1
Scarlet Tanager --7
Common Yellowthroat --8
Black-and-white Warbler --2
Magnolia Warbler --1
Northern Parula --1
Canada Warbler --1
Redstart --3
Ovenbird --1
Purple Finch --3
There were several species missing from todays count that were however present over the past couple days at Herricks Cove. These included:
Yellow Warbler
Palm Warbler (seen by Don Clark on Sunday)
Northern Waterthrush (seen by Don Clark on Sunday)
Nashville Warbler
Pied billed Grebe
Merlin
Last three seen on Saturday by Hector Galbraith, Adam Weltz, and me.
