The Buff-breasted Sandpiper was still at Dead Creek at 7:00 pm Thursday evening. It is on the west side, walk out the path behind gate from first parking lot. It was across the mud flat from the point of land ( lone tree on point that is favored by Merlin) where the short-cut path comes out to the creek. This is the area were the water stops and it becomes drier. It was with a dozen or so Killdeer and Semipalmated Plovers. Either in the very, just barely green grass starting to grow on the mud flat and wind row of large round leaf plants.
