We wanted to let the birding and butterflying public at large know that we have updated www.BirdCapeMay.org to include the seasonal count information.
Many of you may be familiar by now with View from the Cape on the website. We have added in View from ther Field , on which, the seasonal count staff will be sharing the daily data collected at the Hawk watch, Sea watch and Morning Flight Project.. Most of the numbers collected are input to eBird and Hawkcount.org.
In addition to the "bird" data, the Monarch Monitoring Project information will be chronicled so that everyone will be able to log on and see what the butterfly happenings are in Cape May. This addition is one that we are most excited about due to the fact that the awareness of the monarch migration continues to grow each year. Also, some are saying that this should be a great year!
The New Jersey Audubon's Cape May Bird Observatory hopes that you all continue to enjoy the new website and are finding it to be a great resource. We love to hear feed back from our members and users of this site, so keep it coming.
Enjoy the "rest" of the fall!
