We were pretty shocked that the mounting kit for the Mitsubishi projector
was abt $400 ! I bet most of that is insurance...
So, we hired a local alarm guy to mount them, and he devised a way to mount
them using threaded rod , and it worked out very well ... took awhile for
the first one, but the others were much easier.
Electrician, of course, had to get the AC to the projector..

Subject: Mounting Projection Systems
I think there was some chatter about this on the List awhile back but I
don't recall what was said. We are looking to ceiling mount some
projection systems in our buildings. We had a local business do one but
it was quite expensive and I'm thinking we can do it internally for quite
a bit less expense. My questions for those of you who have done this...
1. I know there are universal ceiling mounts. Is there one kind/type
that is better than others?
2. Can you purchase Wiring Kits that contain the correct wire and
faceplate, etc.?
3. Do you have recommendations on where to purchase either of the
above?
4. Finally, any insights into doing this?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
