A migrating adult Golden Eagle was seen today from Buckner preserve in West Haven. It was a bit distant, but at a good sun angle with a nice glint off the head as it banked.
Among other things seen was a Bohemian Waxwing in with a flock of Cedars, and a fly-by from a Snipe.
Some very high migrating loons went by - one flock of 4 and another of 12. Perhaps some of the loon congregation from up north on the lake.
