Thanks to Terry for good directions to the Essex Center Citgo station
for a great variety of crabapple feasters all hanging out together
oblivious to all the traffic : 40+ waxwings, mostly bohemians(but
lighting wasn't great so there could have been a few cedars);15 or so
pine grosbeaks, 2 robins, and a house finch. Then on to Tower Rd. for a
small flock of pine grosbeaks again methodically clearing the
crabapples. For both these sightings you can get very close, especially
at the Citgo station. Today the birds were in the median in front of the
