I have a second hand AS 800 liquid auto sampler which is attached to a
Carlo Erba NCS1500 EA, but I need some assistance to get it running.
Can you help me with any of the following?
1) I have only a very brief draft of the manual for an AS 800 and a
manual for an ASX 500, which is a very different instrument. Does
anyone have any better documentation?
2) The sampler can be controlled remotely via 'Eager 200' software.
Can I get a copy of that software and its documentation from anyone?
3) The remote control is via a RS232 interface. The MS sofware I am
using allows me to write a script which will send commands via RS 232.
What commands does the sampler accept and what do they do?
4) In auto mode the control unit expects a ready signal to be sent to
the plug on the back panel marked GC. This is a 37pin D-connector but
it only has 5 pins present (1, 20, 23 ,24, 31). What are the
assignments for these pins? How do I send a ready signal?
Any assistance will be much appreciated.
