Sunday morning around 5:30 AM, on my way to listen for Screech-Owls at a few
locations in Ferrisburgh and Charlotte, I actually came upon a gray morph
individual sitting in the middle of Greenbush Rd. at the intersection with
Long Point Rd. The owl sat staring up at my car, its ears drawn down, until
I attempted to open my window for a better view, when it flew up into a lone
gnarly tree on the corner. I unsuccessfully examined the tree with a
flashlight to relocate the owl.
Shortly after I had a bird responding to an audio recording north of
Thompson's Point.
