Hi all,
Following up on Terry Wright's finding a Coot at Shelburne Bay, my daughter
and I saw the Coot just to the right of the big rock at the end of the
access about 3pm. It shortly went into some reeds (a narrow band) on shore,
so that we wouldn't have seen it if it had been in that position initially.
An immature eagle also crossed over the bay to the east as we were there.
I tried to see the Mute Swans at the Grand Isle ferry at midday-early
afternoon on Friday, but was unsuccessful there or some other spots along
the shoreline. There was a beautiful male Red-breasted Merganser at the
ferry bay however.
Enjoy the weekend,
Larry
