We have been using Open Office in the dorms, classrooms and Library ...
We still have abt 35 MS Office licenses for office personnel .. I have had
very few compatibility issues. We are only talking about maybe 65 computers,
but @ $70/license, it does save $$ .
If anyone complains ever, I ask them to request a signed PO for a MS Office
license .. that usually stops any political strain..

Subject: Open Office Implementation
I think this question may have been asked/answered awhile back
but I forget the responses.
Is anyone on the List using Open Office or Star Office in
their school(s)/district/SU? If so, is it full implementation? What
grade levels? For how long? Aside from political fallout from users, were
there other significant issues?
Any information appreciated
