Wendy,
Hope this will help;
"The CEAP classification for chronic venous disorders (CVD) was developed in 1994 by an international ad hoc committee of the American Venous Forum, endorsed by the Society for Vascular Surgery, and incorporated into "Reporting Standards in Venous Disease" in 1995. Today most published clinical papers on CVD use all or portions of CEAP."
Eklöf B, Rutherford RB, Bergan JJ, et al. Revision of the CEAP classification for chronic venous disorders: consensus statement. J Vasc Surg. 2004 Dec;40(6):1248-52.
CEAP;
Clinical
Etiology
Anatomy
Pathophysiology
Clinical is divided into categories C-0 no visible varicosities to C-6 skin changes with active ulcer.
Etiology is usually congenital, primary or secondary (prior DVT).
Anatomy is the system involved; superficial, deep, perforaters.
Pathophysiology is due to reflux or obstruction.
There is lots of info on the Internet. Try theveininstitute.com - I know they go into more detail.

Subject: Re: superficial venous worksheet with CEAP class ?
Okay. I am going to take a chance and sound stupid. By superficial venous
worksheet, you are talking about venous mapping correct? Also, what is CEAP
classification? What does CEAP stand for?
