Hi all,
Late this afternoon, about 4:30pm, a Merlin was seen high atop a tree
alongside Route 17, slightly east of the geese viewing shelter at Dead
Creek. I don't know whether it was because I was stopped there looking at
it, or whether others saw it too in the tree, but then two other cars
stopped to check it out. Each of those cars contained good photographers
with very long lenses, and so both of them got some nice shots of it.
During the whole episode it remained in the same spot up there, and so I
didn't see it in flight.

My apologies also for my last posting some days ago, which was a private
email; and I forgot my rule to always carefully check the "To" address
before hitting "Send".
