Spotted a Barred Owl landing in a roadside tree about 4 pm on Saturday
on Bliss Road in East Montpelier. MY daughter and I spotted movement as
we drove East from Center Road. The owl was intent upon gazing below, I
assume at a rodent. We had the opportunity to sit and observe from 30
feet away before it flew off to a tree 20 feet further from the road.
