An excited friend called last night at dusk--perched on a feeder on the
deck rail 6 feet from her house was a barred owl. It watched them as
much as they watched it, for over half an hour.(On Brown's Trace Rd.(Rte
128) in Essex near the Westford Town line.)Question: her usual feeder
birds have been noticably absent this entire season--could this be the
