We have only a dusting of snow here in Jericho, but we have more birds today
than any day all week. Probably they've been off scouting and foraging while
the ground was open and the temps were warm. Now they're back to the
feeders for the easy meal.
Pair of cardinals
Three pair Pine Grosbeaks - four in the cherry tree and two under the feeders
Pair of crows - one eating a large piece of bread
Lots of juncoes
The usual chickadees
Also, heard what was probably a small swarm of house finches, though haven't
seen them yet
As for the Common Redpoll...I didn't see evidence of eye congestion, and I
didn't see anything else wrong, except that one wing was about an inch to
one side. So, it's hard to say.
