Math Instruction for Students with Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD
Cost: $500
Optional Graduate Credits: 2 (add $270)
Dates: June 30 - July 2, 2008
This course for secondary and postsecondary educators begins with an
overview of the difficulties inherent in the teaching of mathematics to
students with learning disabilities and/or AD/HD. Participants will learn a
theoretical basis for developing best practices and how to target
instruction appropriately according to students' individual needs. This
course will focus on specific strategies that instructors can use to improve
students' ability to understand math and ways in which students can modify
how they approach math courses for better success.
