Steal This Radio #38
Mitchel Cohen blasts away at the illusions many Americans have about Cuba, reading the first Chapter of his essay, “An American in Cuba”. And before that, he phones Cathryn Swan to talk about her great blog and the destruction the NYC administration is wreaking on our public parks.
Cathryn had invited Mitchel to write a guest entry for her blog, which he titled “Building Oedipal Complex’s in New York City” — but she balked at some lines in what he had sent her. So Mitchel told her not to use his piece at all, and instead he reads it over the air, and asks her to comment.
Mitchel has re-christened the forthcoming “Tisch” Fountain — for which the Tisch family paid between $1 million and $2.5 million for naming rights — the “Pisch” fountain, and calls on New Yorkers to pee in it when it opens.
Bob Dylan, “Desolation Row”

Bruce Markow, “Let’s Be Honest”
