Do you already have a carotid worksheet? What does your Med Dir think of it
and what parts of it do they want to see on the Community Screening?
Did you say your preliminary will remain in house and NOT be given to the
pt? In that case, what does the doc want
in order to make THEIR determination of
b) Contact your doctor to discuss our findings (assume over X%)
/recommendations (assume full Bil extracranial carotid exam)
... I have seen these two options on a community screening Results sheet
given to pts. Sorry do not have a copy to send.
If you dont want to have your worksheet reviewed by med dir before pts leave
for the day, perhaps some reworking of NASCET criteria where you explain to
pts how the "surgicals" fared better than the "non"s over 5 years .... *see
where this starts to eat into your scan time and the scope of practice*...
This is why I worked only ONE community screening and declined further
bookings. You cant be all things...a cheap fast screen/an RVT/an
interpretor/an educator of pts... in a little bitty time period.
Have you seen or been given any Lifeline results samples from those pts?
That may be what you want to fashion yours after.... I dunno.
Its a topic that interests me obviously.
