I spent a pleasant afternoon birding in South Hero with Pat Folsom and her
grandson Jordan. Among the notable birds we encountered were the return of the
Sandbar WMA Ospreys (2), 7 Killdeer in a field at the head of the Allen
Point access road, a Northern Pintail on the Bay side of the Causeway, and a
small flock of Bohemian Waxwings in the cedars next to the Allen Point parking
lot. No Tufted Duck, though. Bummer.
