In the flooded field on Tabor Road in West Swanton today I saw:
- NORTHERN SHOVELERS (6 male, 2 female)
- GREEN-WING TEAL (7 male)
- BLACK DUCK (4)
- MALLARD (~50)

Also had a flyover of about 60 CORMORANTS, heading north in loose V
formations (not as neat and tidy as geese, with much switching from one
skein to another).  Hope they were just passing through!

In Lake Champlain along Church Road in West Swanton:

- BUFFLEHEADS
- HOODED MERGANSERS
- RING-NECKED DUCKS
- COMMON GOLDENEYES

At Franklin County Airport a HORNED LARK was singing, and a Vesper Sparrow
(90% sure of that ID, though it seems early and I don't remember hearing
other reports yet).

In my yard this morning I had my first FOX SPARROWS of the year, and lots of
JUNCOS on the ground.  Also had a strange STARLING with white outer tail
feathers.  Otherwise, it had nice breeding plumage -- glossy purple back,
prominent speckling, etc.  Very strange-looking.
