I've been having the best time watching a pair of Red-tails getting ready to
be parents. Last year I discovered a nest by chance but was unable to spend
much time watching it as the leaves popped shortly after I found the nest
and I was no longer able to see it though my scope. This year I went out
early and have been able to watch some of the activity. The female seems to
be sitting as she is there whenever I am watching. The male shows up every
once in a while.
Yesterday I noticed that she left the nest for about 5 minutes. A real
treat !
