Prompted by Jim's and Ken's reports, I traveled to the Missisquoi NWR this
afternoon. The Northern Shovelers must have, well, shoved off. I did see one
male. Lots of GW Teal, though, and a handsome male BW Teal to boot. Other
"firsts" of the season for me included a Greater Yellowlegs, a Pied-billed Grebe,
and an Eastern Meadowlark. An Osprey flew by for my review and a pair of
Ring-necked Ducks put in a brief appearance,as well.
All-in-all a good show.
