Team Pipit enjoyed multiple looks at a Snowy Egret today at the
goose-viewing area at Dead Creek. The bird flew in from the north, then
landed in the large wet area where 150+ Canada Geese are hanging out
with 4 Snow Geese.
Of course the viewing distance was such that we couldn't absolutely rule
out the delightful but improbable possibility of Little Egret. However,
the bill appeared typical for Snowy and the fluffy breeding plumage of
the head seemed right for Snowy as well.
