I stopped by the Muddy Brook marsh pull-off on route 116 in South  Burlington 
briefly this afternoon and was pleased to find an American Bittern  
oong-ka-choonking his heart out there. Other birds of note (hmm) included a pair  of GW 
Teal, a pair of Wood Ducks, several RW Blackbirds, and a single Great Blue  
Heron.
