A fabulous day of birding for Raven Davis and me. A duck extravaganza
at Delta Park in Colchester. Although the lake was highly excited
with big waves, on the bike, rec trail, the waters were filled with
ducks (and passerines too). We also ventured to Sandbar causeway, and
saw some more great spring enticements. The estimates are given when
I noted them (not very scientific notation). Many of the duck species
were in pairs. Sometimes, I just noted the species. The one Red-
tailed Hawk we saw gave us an incredible show of stooping from way
high up, then leveling, then stooping again and again. Also hello to
Shirley, who we met on the Delta Park trail.
