A little tardy on the post, but at our second walk this month, 11 birders
joined in and spent more time at the meadows and marsh of the property to
generate the majority of this list.
Eastern Kingbirds were seen gathering nesting material. And Yellow Warblers
and Common Yellowthroats were putting on great displays allowing the first
timers on the walk a great way to learn how to differentiate them by sight
and song. One red-eyed vireo also came out in plain view for many to see for
the very first time, as did one of the Scarlet Tanagers.
Baltimore Orioles were also gathering nesting material.
Our next walk is tomorrow at 7a.m., meeting once again at the Hildene
Welcome Center.
