Okay, first, it looks as though the Blue-Gray gnatcatchers are
nesting again at Herrick's Cove. They were quite active this
afternoon, moving too and from the nest site, making it not
impossible to spot.
Drop me an e-mail if you're interested in directions to the nest.
Secondly, I got the best look I've ever had of a Veery at the Cove,
which led to the best photo I've ever taken of one. Also spotted
today was a least flycatcher, combined with the usual suspects: lots
of common yellowthroats, red-winged blackbirds, a northern flicker,
many common grackles, baltimore orioles, a yellow-bellied sapsucker,
a great many american robins and a (probably) greater yellowlegs.
Also heard, but not spotted, were many yellow warblers, and a great
crested flycatcher.
At home today, I got -amazing- looks at a Baltimore Oriole which
landed and fed from one of the hummingbird feeders (scaring off a
hummingbird which was about to use it).
At Allen Brothers Marsh, I discovered that the tree swallows nested
successfully, as there was a juvenile standing right outside the nest
hole looking around and opening and closing its mouth, apparently
waiting for someone to return with food. We also had both evening
and rose-breasted grosbeaks eating from our feeders during the day,
providing for some nice looks at them.

And Wednesday got nice looks at warblers (Common Yellowthroat and
Yellow) at Allen Brothers marsh:

And while I'm at it, if anyone's interested in some really nice
warbler photos (Red-start, Black-Throated Blue, Yellow, Yellowthroat
& Black and White) and a photo of the woodcock on her nest from
Parker River from last Sunday, you can find them at:

this is not true.
