Hi all,
Yesterday afternoon (5-20-08...sorry for the late report) I birded the
Mile-Around Woods near the Park McCullough House in North Bennington.
The highlight were 2 White-crowned Sparrows, and other interesting
birds include Savannah Sparrow and Bobolink. The complete list is
below.
Although the Park McCullough area had a surprising lack of warblers,
that was not the case on Orebed Rd. in North Bennington, where I found
9 warbler species in half an hour. The 9 are: Canada, Nashville,
Black-and-white, Blue-winged, Yellow, Chestnut-sided, American
Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, and Ovenbird. There were also several
Eastern Towhees along the power line strip.
Good birding!
