I received a call from Hilary today and volunteered to forward this to the VTBird list.

Thank you for passing this message on.
Vermont Outdoors Woman is seeking an Instructor for their "Intro to Birding" class next Sunday, June 22nd at Doe Camp at Jay Peak Resort. Vermont Outdoors Woman is a non-profit organization that promotes hands-on outdoor education to women of all ages and abilities. Our main event, Doe Camp, happens twice a year and educates approximately 175 women in over 35 classes such as fishing, archery, wilderness survival, birding, kayaking, biking and more! Doe Camp at Jay Peak Resort is just around the corner and we have over 100 women coming this June. The Birding class has five women enrolled and the class will run from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. We would hate to cancel the class!
You can see more information on our website: www.voga.org/doe_camp.htm
Unfortunately, we can not afford to pay instructors. Without our volunteer instructors and sponsors, we could not make this an affordable and thus inclusive event. However, we will be pooling money as a group to ensure that we can at least cover our instructors travel expenses. We will also feed you breakfast and lunch! Ladies would be welcome to come early and take a class. Please contact me asap if you might be available. My cell phone number is 802-345-6434.
