I was at the pullover area off Rte. 116 just south of Cheese Factory Rd.
where Muddy Brook starts. I was looking at a Black-crowned Night Heron that
was on a fallen, leafless shrub which was hanging over the water. The shrub
was west of where I was standing across the open water, on the opposite
bank. After looking at the Heron, I decided to scan the tall tree line bordering
the field along its' SW edge. That is where I found an adult Bald Eagle perched
in one of the trees. The tree was in line with the overhanging shrub that the
Heron was on. I saw the Eagle at 1:43pm.
