The Vermont Fresh Network (VFN) is seeking a part-time Development 
Consultant to work with VFN Board and staff to develop a funding 
strategy guided by VFN’s strategic plan and current programming with the 
goal of increasing the budget to $200,000 over the next three years. The 
duration of this position is six months.

Primary areas of work are: (1) grant development: developing and 
executing a system for identification, drafting and follow up; (2) 
sponsorship development: developing a system to target, qualify, 
cultivate, secure and retain sponsors at different levels; and (3) 
supporting membership and donor development: developing and executing a 
system for recruitment, cultivation and  retention. These systems will 
be integrated to support VFN’s mission, strategic plan and projected 
work plan for 2009 and beyond.

The Development Consultant will work in conjunction with VFN Executive 
Director, staff and Board between August 1, 2008 and January 31, 2009. 
There is the potential for a full time position based on success over 
next 6 months.
