I spotted a flock of about 14 wild turkeys in Salisbury this morning at about 9:30.  They were in a cut hayfield on the west side of Rt. 7, about a half mile south of Maple Meadows chicken farm.  Nothing too unusual, but it seems to me that I heard somewhere recently that Vt. Fish and Wildlife was interested in a wild turkey census.  I checked the Fish and Wildlife web site, but couldn't find any mention of it.  Has anybody else heard about this?
