Two years ago I had a sighting in March of a bobcat in my field just passing through. I believe it was a male as he scented all along the path he was traveling. Also last year when we mowed our field in late October, the mower again spotted a bobcat in the same field during the day. I didn't feel there was any strange behavior but just that they were going about their daily business.
