This is the Vermont Rare Bird Alert for July 7, 2008 covering the period
June 30 - July 6, 2008.
A LEAST BITTERN was spotted on Grand Isle on 6/30. A GREAT EGRET was seen
at Shelburne Bay on 7/1 and on 7/3.
Two CASPIAN TERNS were sighted on Grand Isle on 7/1 and one at Shelburne Bay
Two YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOOS were observed in Aitken State Forest on 7/2.
A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was seen singing near Lake and Ferry Roads in
Charlotte on 7/1.
An ORCHARD ORIOLE was sighted at Dead Creek on 7/2.
