Hi folks:
Thought this would be of interest to some of you... Hort. Club will
have Sandy Anderson give a presentation to our group in the future
(either late fall semester or during spring semester). But in case
you can't wait!
October 18
Bonsai Demonstration
10 - noon
Presenter: Sandy Anderson, owner Millbrook Bonsai.
Slide show describing the style and types of Bonsai during which he
will discuss care, feeding, pruning and potting. Sandy will bring a
selection of plants for "show and tell" along with a selection of
tools that are used in this ancient oriental art.
Pre-registration is much appreciated. Call 864-3073 or e-mail

Indicate you are a UVM student and your admission is FREE!
The UVM Horticultural Research Center (The Hort. Farm) is located at
65 Green Mountain Drive in South Burlington (off Route 7, behind GE
Healthcare (formerly IDX) and Heritage Ford).

Car-pooling would be a good idea... I would suggest meeting at the
Davis Center oval at 9:30 AM to depart for the Farm. It take about
15 minutes to get there from campus. if you plan to go and can drive,
please email me I will then post your contact info. to the listserv
so others can make arrangements with you directly for carpooling.
