A blustery morning turned into a beautiful day for today's Rutland County Audubon's monthly monitoring walk at West Rutland Marsh. Ten particpants totalled 28 species (compared with 39 last year on Oct 26).
Birds of the day were American robin with 163 individuals and red-winged blackbirds with 248 individuals. The group had good looks at a marsh wren at the end of the boardwalk.
