Interestingly enough, I started up a Vista system in the Tech Park Data
Center where I'm doing some other things, and I ok-ed the installation of
SP1. It went through the install in about 15 minutes, then rolled it all
back. When I logged in to see what the error was, I got reduced
The system somehow had decided that it was a retail version of Vista, and
was long overdue for activation. By entering the key, I got the system back
(didn't even need to reboot). I'll re-apply SP1 and see if the problem
