I was checking out the rare bird site for Quebec and it appears a gray form
Gyrfalcon has been hanging around Phillipsburg, QC, just a short drive over
the border on Lake Champlain. The site is in French, which I can barely make
out, but my sense is that the bird has been hanging out at the quay in
Phillipsburg, must be on or quite near the Lake. The bird was first seen on
the 27th and was last seen yesterday at 1:00.
Also...there have been several Northern Hawk-Owl sightings just an hour or
two over the border. Hopefully some will make a push into VT!
