Holly asks the same question I have been wondering about. What is the impact on the owls to attract them with recordings?
Certainly it would be better to draw owls in once for a group than to have each individual playing tapes separately. Birding ethics calls for the sparing use of recordings for scientific purposes. Hopefully, someone who is qualified will respond.
