A big flock of Snow Buntings (85+) flew into Shelburne Bay this afternoon,
landing on the rocks and gravel at the end of the access. The juvenile Brant
reported by Larry Haugh was feeding placidly on the grass at the mouth of the
LaPlatte River. Other waterfowl of note include many Common Mergansers (32)
and Mallards (51) as well as Bufflehead (8), Hooded mergansers (6), Common
Goldeneye (2), American Black Duck (2), and Canada Geese (8).
