Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute is sponsoring a hands-on introductory course on
Transcranial Doppler Ultrasonography on March 23-24, 2009. The course
venue is GUI's 6,660 sq. ft. facility located in beautiful St. Pete Beach, FL.
Led by expert Donalee Davis, CNRN (Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse),
this conference is designed for vascular ultrasound technologists, nurses and
physicians interested in learning ultrasound cerebral hemodynamics. Ms. Davis
is the Director of Neurovascular and Diagnostic Ultrasound at the Cleveland
Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio). She has written numerous publications and lectured
extensively on TCD Ultrasound, both at the national and international level.
The program will provide a thorough, hands-on-approach resulting in
participants knowing how to perform and/or interpret transcranial Doppler
examimations. Morning didactic sessions will include clinical applications and
case study sessions followed by intense afternoon scanning sessions on live
models. Participant-to-instructor scanning ratio never exceeds 3 to 1.
In addition, this program offers a maximum of 16.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit
