We're all ProCurve here in Montpelier, too. While, as David says, they are cheaper than others of similar quality, they still aren't cheap. I've bought my last three 4108gls used on eBay
for WAY less than a new one would cost. Of course, they're not new, that's why. But because of HP's great warranty, I don't ever have to deal with the eBay vendor again; I just call HP for support. The most recent I purchased had 4 24 port 10/100 modules and one 20 port with 2 Fiber SX gigabit transceivers for $500. It's been running just fine for several months now.
