Sorry for the delayed response - we were heads down today working on
We deployed new web servers a couple of weeks ago. Late last week, we
fixed an issue that was causing occasional kernel panics on the systems
(largely unnotied by people because our load balancers moved connections
to other nodes that were up in the cluster).
Now that the systems are staying up longer, we have run into a new set of
bugs that appear to be due to an interoperability problem with Linux and
We're continuing to delve into it and working on a solution.
In the meantime, we've changed our load balancers to move us back to the
old web servers quickly if/when this problem happens again, and updated
paging alerts to more quickly notify us of the problem.
