I believe cifs://files.uvm.edu/mca should work, providing your username as
you indicated.

on Winsystems --net use z: \\files.uvm.edu\mca /user:campus\vrossi


..been trying finder-go-connect to server mounting, but i would be very 
surprised if the super-secure-central-network-commandos would allow cifs 
or smb mounts

Any suggestions?
