This morning there were two fat American Robins on the lawn, a Common Grackle at the feeder - first of the season. The Red-winged Blackbirds arrived last week.
Later on a walk in the woods, I heard a bird scold, located it - Winter Wren. He flew off to sing deep in the woods, then I heard another on the other side of the road! What a great bird of the day!
I still have a few Pine Siskins and Common Redpolls, but the number is way down. Oh well, it's time for spring.
Yesterday I saw several TVs in Essex and some Hooded Mergansers at Salmon Hole in Winooski.
