For White-Crowned Sparrow (sorry about this)
I wanna go WEE-WEE Now!
This was on a commercial tape for Western Canadian birds I once
heard, and it was so funny, delivered by a distinguished and
plummy female voice without a hint of humor, that it's stuck with
me ever since.
It's not quite accurate for eastern WCS, but close enough that
when I first moved here and heard some unfamiliar singing coming
from the shrubbery one spring, this silly mnemonic come into my
head, and when I got out my binos and found a singer in the act,
darned if it wasn't a WCS. So it's close enough to give the
idea. I'll try to make note of the specific difference when they
come through again this spring.
