First Song Sparrow heard on Tuesday morning and throughout the day in
Moretown, though I never could catch sign of it. Our Goldfinch
population is expanding, Siskins declining, but still present. The
Leucistic Siskin we call Lukey is still around from time to time. The
male Goldies are in various states of molt and increasing color and some
of them are just plain funky looking ... doesn't seem to affect their
appetite for sun seeds though ...
We seem to have several Red Nuthatches, as we have all winter. We have
at least 3 in our yard, plus a pair of White Nuts.
A murder of Crows each morning, with about 25 birds on board at this point.
