Cerberus is now an openSUSE box, it's all configured and everything.
I pamified Rudy, but right now just the login is working under PAM for
some reason, so the person who actually doesn't have an account, who is
probably not a member right now, won't have a home folder if he/she
ssh's before he logs in directly (using su won't do it, either).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install cracklib
2. Install PAM core
3. Rebuild everything that is on the system that we want to use PAM
(i.e. the shadow package + sshd)
4. Configure
I was thinking we could borrow from the way Gentoo's configuration is
laid out, using includes, since it's the simplest way I've seen PAM
configured. Then, once we get everything together, back it all up, put
it in a slackbuild, burn it to a CD, and when we ever need to install it
again, we'll have it.
P.S. Gary or Mike, want to take the liberty of sending a quick email off
to csugrads, ascsugrads, csgrads, and (CC) [log in to unmask] asking for
possible times to hold the career fair? Also, we should probably promote
this to undergrads even if they're not looking for a job yet.
