No I have not crossed a case such as this...I 'm with Matt someone should have clinically pegged this before anticoagulation.

I have, however, come across patient's with such swollen, hard, extremities, that compression maneuvers did not work (rare). One would think a good physical exam (remember the 5 P's) would have suggested arterial issues in this case.
